Frequently Asked Questions
Our Products
When will you have whiskey?

Trust me we are chomping at the bit to roll out a whiskey product, but perfection and aging take time. Be sure to sign up for new releases of our products.
Our Venue
Do I have to be 21 for admission?

While kids and young adults are permitted to attend many of our special events– alcohol consumption at the bar or on a tour is strictly for patrons over 21. Folks under 21 will be provided with a wrist band :)
Will you check my ID?
Yes. You look young! Embrace that.
Do you serve food?
We don’t have a resident chef but we partner with local catering and food delivery services. Food trucks and local restaurants frequently cater our events, too! Check out our events page for our upcoming schedule. Please see News and Events for more information about Special Events and on-going programming.
While on the subject please keep in mind:
-
Absolutely NO outside Beverages of any type may be brought into or on distillery premises - including water in any type of container.
-
Alcohol of any kind, including pre-purchased Copper Compass spirits (i.e. rum and spirits must be purchased upon your arrival the day of your visit)
-
Coolers (of any size) will NOT be allowed.
-
Deliveries of food to the distillery on your behalf are only allowed while you are present at the distillery to receive and care for it!
-
Plan Ahead! Avoid awkward moments! If you order food from another establishment that requires you to pick it up, make sure you pick it up before you arrive at the distillery. The distillery requires you to pay your open tab before leaving. Don't leave your alcohol unattended, or ask our distillery staff or family to 'watch your food/beverages until you get back.
-
Please do not bring your own food to either Ticketed or Special Events as they are typically catered (unless the event specifically states that you are allowed to bring your own food).
-
We are not permitted to store or heat and food items.
Our Tours & Tastings
What time should I arrive for the tour?

We kindly ask that you arrive on time or no more than 10 minutes early so that we can get a cocktail in your hand before the tour starts. Much like our spirits, our signature cocktails are our art form, which should never be rushed.

Do I get to taste all the spirits?

Yes, we like our guests to enjoy themselves, responsibly of course. We advise you not to come on the tour with an empty stomach and encourage a designated driver or safe ride home.

Can I buy your spirits after the tour?

Of course. Spirits taste better when you buy them straight from the source.

How do I sign up for a tour?

By reserving your spot here. It’s that easy! All tour reservations are made online.

How many people are on each tour?

We limit our tours to an intimate group of 20, so we encourage you to sign up in advance. Do you have a larger group? Contact us at info@coppercompassdistilling.com to discuss accommodations.
How long does the tour last?

Tours and tastings are typically 30-45 minutes, depending on how engaged our audience may be. Feel free to hang around out at our cocktail bar or watch the game after you finish your tour.

Do I need a reservation?
Although recommended reservations are not required until you have a party of 10 or more.

Can I book a private tour?

Yes. Let's talk. Email us at info@coppercompassdistilling.com to discuss accommodations.
